The triathlon was awesome! We all did awesome, especially Jeanie and Clark who totally rocked it. I never thought I’d say this, but I loved every minute of it. I was really hoping to finish in under 1:30 and my time was 1:29:09.
We’ve really got to get a huge group from Viking to do it next year. It would be so much fun!
On another note, Clark got his first muscle up today, after the triathlon. Apparently it helps to be totally fatigued (although it didn’t help my muscle up). Yeah, Clark!!!
Awesome job to Clark and Amanda! They both rocked it! Congrats to Clark on his muscle-up! Also, their son Kimball did the kids race and did great!
The tri was a lot of fun. Survival swimming for 400 meters, the 10 mile bike was fun even though it rained, and Nine Inch Nails on the iPod made the 5k run bearable. I have to say that I am continually amazed at how well CrossFit prepares me for anything. I honestly thought that I would train for this but I ended up only swimming once and running one 5k and just did CrossFit and rode my bike a bit. I was surprised that I finished in 1:17:04 and placed 6th in my age-group, I really didn’t have any great expectations for this race. We really do need to get a big group from Viking next year to do it, some could do it as a relay if they want (Come on Will, I know you want to do the swim leg, haha). Thanks to all the awesome trainers at Viking!
Good luck to those who are doing the Triatholon. I hope the rain isn’t slowing you down to much. You guys will rock.
Triathlon = 1:15:00 (800m swim, 10 mile ride, 5K run)
1st muscle up during CrossFit Kids. = I’ll be smirking all day long.

Pics to come of the triathlon and the muscle up.
Thanks Amanda, you’ll get your muscle up before you know it.
Amanda, let’s use discretion when selecting pictures to post for today. I’ve already been embarrassed once this week.

A relay!? Dang, I totally would have done the swim!
Clark, I seriously thought that picture of you earlier this week was awesome!
Good job everyone!
Awesome job Clark!!
Jeanie, unless you’re either taking a shower or sitting on a board in the surf there’s really no good reason for being in the water.
